Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Engineering

Why did you choose ÷بس°ض±²¥?

It genuinely felt like the right fit! I liked the size of the campus and the amount of students, plus it's a good distance from home to learn how to be an adult on my own, but still be within a good distance to my parents.

Which organizations were you involved in?

Cheerleading ('21-'23) and Student Ambassador Society.

How did being involved with the Student Ambassador Society impact your time at WSU?

It made me so much more willing to step out of my comfort zone and helped me be more knowledgeable about what was happening on campus which was always nice.

Which ÷بس°ض±²¥ faculty or staff member impacted you the most during your time here?

Dr. Mason and Dr. Jorgensen both!! I started as a Biomedical Engineering student and felt a little lost in the middle. Taking classes with these professors and getting to learn from them helped guide me to my next path.

How do you feel about graduating?

Nervous, but ready for sure.

Which experience at ÷بس°ض±²¥ challenged you the most and what did you take away from that challenge?

Maneuvering the shift of the type of work I would be needing to do to be successful. In high school, I didn't need to study and quickly completed all homework I was given. In my college experience, there hasn't been a ton of homework, however I have definitely had to learn how to study and fill my time doing that successfully.

What are your post-grad plans?

For now, continue working with Viega in McPherson and coaching competitive cheerleading at Wildcat Athletics Academy.

What advice would you give to incoming students?

Get involved and/or find your people. If you're not wanting to get super involved in university things, that's understandable! Would I recommend it? ABSOLUTELY! However, as long as you find your little support group, you can make it through anything you face.
